Gel plate printing is a versatile (and in my opinion, addictive) monotype printmaking technique. In Lucy’s workshops, participants will start with the fundamentals of gel plate printing, including working with textures and layering colors. Depending on the nature of the specific workshop, students will work with botanicals, masks and /or stencils. All materials are provided, including gel plates, acrylic paints, papers, texture tools, and botanical materials. No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment! By the end, you’ll have a collection of unique prints -- and probably some paint on your hands!
Workshops are offered every few months or so. Check back here or get on Lucy's email list to hear about new offerings. The next one will be a shorter workshop making “Love Notes”--- cards with love and heart themes.

I had a great time learning Gel Printing in Lucy’s beautiful studio. She is excited about the work and is contagious…Lucy offers a safe space to explore in a new art form, freely play with colors, ask questions….in a joyous environment, and most of all, some surprising, unexpected outcomes!

I attended Lucy’s workshop on gel print making. It was fabulous! First of all, Lucy is an incredibly talented artist and as we were creating, she generously lent her hand, experience, and eye, to whatever extent we asked. I am not an artist but I created beautiful pieces of art that I will always cherish. I hope to attend another workshop soon!

We really had a great time. It's so gratifying to tap into the creative self we know nothing about until we try.

Thank you so much for a great class in your beautiful studio. Always such a lovely group of people and I learn so much!
Thank you Lucy for the delightful class, it was informative, fun, interesting and with the sweet group of women. I appreciate your time and sharing your expertise with us.
I was really nervous at the start of the day having done so little art since leaving grade school a long time ago. You put me at ease, you were there for every question and came to my side when I lost my way.
I knew that coming with a child-like mind was ok. I felt victorious by the end of the class…and proud. Thank you for the fun, too! Thank you again, you’ve helped me open to exploring art.
