Gel plate printing is a versatile (and in my opinion, addictive) monotype printmaking technique. In this workshop, we’ll start with the fundamentals of gel plate printing, including working with textures and layered colors and then delve into printing with botanicals with a focus on both positive and negative shapes.
All materials are provided, including gel plates, acrylic paints, papers, texture tools, and botanical materials. No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment! By the end, you’ll have a collection of unique prints -- and probably some paint on your hands! (Gloves are an option, too!)
